To say that Kelsey Mitchell has been on an absolute tear of late would be an understatement at this point. The fact that she now holds the Indiana Fever franchise record for the most consecutive 20-point games is a clear testament to this fact.

The two-time All-Star made it five in a row on Wednesday, Aug. 28, after dropping a game-high 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting to lead Indiana to an 84-80 win against the Connecticut Sun.

In five games played since the mid-season Olympic break, Mitchell has averaged a whopping 25.6 points. There's no denying that she has been pivotal in Indiana going 4-1 in their last five games.

After Wednesday's victory, Fever head coach Christie Sides sounded off on Mitchell's hot streak. The veteran shot-caller labeled Mitchell as a "special player," which is a statement the Fever were on board with one hundred percent.

"Kelsey Mitchell is HER." declared the Fever on X, formerly Twitter.

Indiana needed just four words to express how big Mitchell has been for the team not only of late but throughout her seven-year career in Indiana.

The Fever have a big one coming up on Friday as they go on the road to battle Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky. Don't be surprised if we see another eye-popping performance from Mitchell in that one.
