Five Intriguing Free Agents The Raiders Should Target

    By Jake Brockhoff,

This is one of the most hectic times of the football year, as each NFL team is tasked with trimming their roster all the way down from over 90 players to just 53.

With that in mind, there are a couple of players on the market now that would suit the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024.

Tannehill has been available all offseason, yet remains a free agent. Honestly, it doesn't make a ton of sense that the Raiders haven't reached out to him yet.

Gardner Minshew won the starting role, but neither him or Aidan O'Connell provide much optimism for the Raiders ahead of the new season. At worst, Tannehill could provide a backup veteran presence, and is a more qualified option than what the Raiders have now.

Although Guy is now in his mid-30s, his ability to remain consistent throughout his career makes it puzzling that he hasn't found a home for the 2024 season yet.

Guy can stay on the field, and can play both edge and defensive tackle. The Raiders have some stars on the defensive line, but could use the depth that Guy would bring.

    LA Rams DB Ahkello Witherspoon.

Witherspoon remains one of the most qualified cornerbacks still on the market. Witherspoon is still only 29 years old, and had 14 passes defended with three interceptions in 2023.

The Raiders have some talent at cornerback, but the position is top-heavy. Aside from their key guys like Jack Jones and Nate Hobbes, there's a drop-off when it comes to depth. Witherspoon would be an excellent value addition here.

Ifedi's potential value to the Raiders lies in his versatility. Throughout his career he's started in 83 games, with time spent at both guard and tackle.

The offensive line is a pretty strong position for the Raiders, but they've already dealt with injuries to Jackson Powers-Johnson and Kolton Miller this offseason. Grabbing a guy like Ifedi could add some valuable depth to the line.

    Running back Kareem Hunt

    Kareem Hunt

Between Zamir White and Dylan Laube, the Raiders have two rather unproven young running backs. Alexander Mattison is also on the roster, but he doesn't provide as much of a spark to the offense as Hunt would.

Hunt has been productive throughout his career. He stepped in mid-season last year after Nick Chubb's injury and had a great year. Hunt could make an excellent late addition again in 2024, this time in Las Vegas.
