Browns Re-Sign RB Foreman, Sign Three Players to Practice Squad

As always, the 53-man roster is never truly set. It is always fluid, as injuries and player performances always force teams to make moves. The team released Tyler Huntley Thursday, just days after Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski revealed their reasoning for keeping four quarterbacks on the roster .

The release of the former Baltimore Ravens backup quarterback was just one of many roster moves the Browns made Thursday morning, though. As the Orange and Brown Report's Fred Greetham revealed, the Browns filled the open spot on their 53-man roster by re-signing D'Onta Foreman.

Meanwhile, they added three players to their practice squad: running back Gary Brightwell, cornerback Mike Ford Jr., and tight end Blake Whiteheart.

Unlike many of the other practice squad members, neither of the three players spent training camp and preseason in Cleveland. Rather, they were elsewhere in the NFL. Brightwell, the former sixth-round pick out of Arizona, spent training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars before his release.

Ford played for the Houston Texans. However, he isn't a new addition; he spent last season with the Browns, where he played in 16 games, totaling 28 tackles and one fumble recovery.

Whiteheart spent last season with the Arizona Cardinals after being signed as an undrafted free agent last offseason. Despite spending last season in Arizona, Whiteheart never played in a regular-season game before his release.

As the Browns continue preparations for their season-opener versus the Dallas Cowboys, these likely won't be their final roster moves.
