College GameDay Announces Guest Picker for Texas A&M Visit

Number 20 Texas A&M hosts College GameDay this Saturday for their game against the #7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the guest picker is iconic, appropriate and slightly controversial.

Johnny Football is coming back to College Station, a guy who would have made a zillion dollars in the NIL era and by some reports probably did anyway. Maybe Aggie starter Conner Weigman, back from a season-ending ankle injury in 2023, captures some of Johnny Manziel magic with Number 2 back on campus.

Rece Davis, newly named member former Alabama coach Nick Saban, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, and Desmond Howard will be on hand for the 6:00 A.M. broadcast. It will be interesting to see whether Manziel or Coach Saban bring up the classic 29-24 upset Manziel engineered in 2012, #15 A&M shocking #1 Alabama in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

That's where the legend was born, though the road since has been rocky. Hearing a bit of the story since will make the telecast even more interesting.
