Caitlin Clark Fans Share Heated Response To ESPN's WNBA Rookie Rankings

ESPN recently posted its WNBA rookie rankings. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese have been battling for the No. 1 spot all season, with the race going back and forth between the two.

In the updated rankings, ESPN listed Reese as the No. 1 active and qualified rookie, with Clark coming in at No. 2, Leonie Fiebich at No. 3, Kamilla Cardoso at No. 4, Aaliyah Edwards at No. 5, Rickea Jackson at No. 6, and Kate Martin at No. 7.

Despite Reese recently recording WNBA history, posting three straight games with 20 or more rebounds for the first time ever, Caitlin Clark fans believe she got robbed for the No. 1 slot.

Many people even believe ESPN is "trolling" fans since they don't think the race between Clark and Reese isn't as close as advertised.

"ESPN's downfall needs to be studied," said one fan.

"Impact level on team it is no debate it's CC. Can settle it Friday night vs. Chicago," mentioned another fan.

    "Fire than panel," commented another.

Clark is fresh off winning the Player off the Week in the entire WNBA, so it's unusual for her to be ranked No. 2 in terms of the rookie class.

Reese has been phenomenal as of late. She continues to be a generational player on the boards, but Clark has averaged 25.0 points. 9.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game in the last week and she's doing it while winning the game

The Fever rookie has averaged 18.0 points, 8.1 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game throughout the year.

Indiana is on a two-game winning streak and they've won four of their last five games. Chicago, on the other hand, has lost four straight games and has gone 3-7 in their last 10 matchups.

These rookies will have a chance to see who's truly the best when they take the floor against each other for the final time this year.

The Chicago Sky will host the Indiana Fever on Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

"Reese my favorite player but she is not ahead of CC in the ROTY race," admitted one fan.

"This ESPN ranking is a joke," commented one fan.

"I remember ESPN used to be the go to for sports, now it's just embarrassing," said another fan.
