Shaq Barrett Reveals Team He Would Unretire For

Linebacker Shaquil Barrett is a two-time Super Bowl Champion and earned two Pro-Bowl selections while with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Barrett played his first four seasons with the Denver Broncos , where it can be argued he was under-appreciated. The Buccaneers acquired Barrett in 2019, and his career numbers exploded once he made the switch. In his first season with the team, he recorded 19.5 sacks, which led the NFL. After having just 14 sacks with the Broncos, Barrett tallied 45 with the Buccaneers throughout five seasons.

Barrett retired after the 2023 season and will be surely missed by the Tampa organization.

He was recently on Kay Adams 'Up & Adams" show and revealed the one team he would unretire for.

Of course! Who else would it be besides the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Barrett built an outstanding career after playing for Tampa Bay.

On the Up & Adams show, Barrett raved about the location - again, of course, it's beautiful Tampa Bay ! - and just the team of guys that he grew so close with over the years. Also, his thoughts could be motivated by the fact that these Bucs have Super Bowl aspirations.

Barrett is a legend among Bucs Nation and in a way ... how great would it be to see him suit up again with the team?

One of the more needy position groups on the Buccaneers right now is outside linebacker, where the team is carrying six players. Shaq could fill a big void in the Buccaneers' pass rush if he decided he wanted to play football once again.
