The Minnesota Vikings continue to shuffle their final roster and practice squad leading up to next weekend’s season-opener.

Thursday afternoon, the team released running back DeWayne McBride and wide receiver Jeshaun Jones from the practice squad and replaced them with offensive tackle Rickly Lee III and running back Zavier Scott.

McBride was a seventh-round pick of the Vikings last year out of UAB. He spent last year on the practice squad and then totaled 68 yards and 20 carries this preseason.

Jones was an undrafted rookie out of Maryland who had five catches for 90 yards and a touchdown this preseason.

Scott went undrafted out of Maine last year and spent 2023 and this summer with the Colts. He totaled 14 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown this preseason.

Lee also went undrafted last year out of North Carolina A&T. He was an All-Big South Second Team player in 2022 and spent last season and this summer with Carolina.

The moves come the same day the Vikings waived backup quarterback Jaren Hall and claimed Brett Rypien.

The Vikings would like to get Hall on the practice squad if he clears waivers, so more moves could be coming in the next couple of days.
