CFB Fans Roasting Minnesota for Setting Off Fireworks After Loss to UNC

    By Cole Sullivan,

The Minnesota Golden Gophers jumped the gun just a little too early Thursday night after missing a 47-yard field goal that would have won them the game in their home stadium. However, it went wide right, and the North Carolina Tar Heels came out victorious 19-17.

Every time Minnesota wins a football game, they set fireworks off at the end. Well, for some reason, they did just that, even though their kicker missed and they lost. A hilarious yet painful development for Minnesota fans.

Whoever is in control of the fireworks was clearly watching a different game, or truly thought Minnesota kicker Dragan Kesich made the field goal.

Fans were quick to share their reactions to the hilarious moment at Huntington Bank Stadium Thursday night.

"They must have been overconfident in the kicker's ability to make that one."

"Well the fireworks guy is definitely fired."

"Less than 500 yds of total offense between them. Fireworks were for all of us that watched it."

All the trolling aside, Minnesota had an opportunity to start their season off on the right note and couldn't get it done. However, the fireworks guy and the Golden Gophers next three games are all at home and all winnable.
