Dion Dawkins Calls for Continuity of Bills' Offensive Line

Few position groups in football are as difficult to build chemistry with as an entire offensive line. It's why many teams, despite their investment in the position, still struggle to field competent groups each and every year.

The Buffalo Bills haven't exactly had consistent continuity over the years but that doesn't mean they have been bad.

Led by Pro Bowl tackle Dion Dawkins, Buffalo's offensive line has been a main catalyst for four straight division titles and five playoff wins in that stretch. Still, it would be helpful if the team had the same starters each and every season.

"I've have had a different guard next to me since I started," Dawkins said via FOX News. "I've been in the league for eight years. You figure it out, but when [the] guys stay together, it's usually better for the quarterback. Timing, position, who's the heavier guy, and how we're blocking from skinny to faster, it's a whole ordeal."

Buffalo revamped their offense on the fly late in the 2023 season and became more of a running team that ultimately led them to a playoff victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Continuity, though, is key according to Dawkins, and something the Bills need to focus on going into a make-or-break year ahead.
