The 2024 NFL regular season kicks off on Thursday, September 5, with Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens facing Patrick Mahomes' Kansas City Chiefs team at Arrowhead.

This season could bring about a ton of parity across the league, although the Chiefs are trying for that ever-so-special Super Bowl three-peat.

During an episode of First Take on Friday, the panelists were all discussing their picks for the Super Bowl. Former NFL general manager Mike Tannenbaum made a bold pick that is worth noting. He picked the Green Bay Packers to win it all over Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

"This one's easy, it's the Green Bay Packers," Tannenbaum stated. "They are young and they are deep..."I like Love, Love, Love over Mahomes in New Orleans winning the Super Bowl."

Tannenbaum mentioned all the weapons on offense and how they improved at running back, which includes adding Josh Jacobs in free agency.

The Packers also improved on the offensive line, drafting Jordan Morgan in the first round of the 2024 draft.

Tannenbaum also gave his pick for the NFC title game.

"I like Detroit and Green Bay in the NFC Championship Game in an NFC North showdown, I like Green Bay winning that game," Tannenbaum mentioned.

The Packers made the playoffs as the 7th seed last season but lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round in a close game. The 49ers then went on to win the NFC title by beating the Lions before they fell to Mahomes and the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

The Packers are a talented team, but they are also very young and have a tough road ahead of them. The Lions won the NFC North last season and only improved this offseason, so it could be their division to win again.

Moreover, another question will be how well Jordan Love can perform. Can he live up to the hype of his newly signed $220 million contract extension?

Nonetheless, Mike Tannenbaum had no hesitation when naming the Packers as his Super Bowl champions.
