Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes Reveals Taylor Swift 'Drawing Up Plays'

Last year, Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce’s relationship with pop star Taylor Swift went public. That set of a cataclysmic chain of events that led to more women being interested in football and ratings shot through the roof.

The couple has now been dating well over a year, and the attention just continues to grow. In a recent interview with NFL on NBC , quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed that she had even started drawing up plays for the team.

“She’s already drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in," Mahomes joked.

But something else that Swift has brought to football is much more important to Mahomes.

“I think it’s been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football,” Mahomes said. “I know, being a girl dad, how cool it is for me. I mean, to see, like, these little girls, these daughters how much they’re loving and spending time with their dad watching football.”

It definitely has had a positive impact on the sport and sales of women’s NFL apparel has also skyrocketed.

Like it or hate it, Swift has brought fresh sets of eyes to the NFL just by dating Kelce.

All eyes will be on the Chiefs when they open the season next Thursday against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football.
