Texas is leading Colorado State 31-0 in the first half, and Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers is starting his season with a stellar performance. He finished the first half with 248 passing yards on an 18-25 completion rate with three touchdowns and an interception.

Alabama transfer Isaiah Bond has been Ewers' favorite target so far, with five catches for 61 yards and a score. Houston transfer Matthew Golden has also been heavily involved, catching three passes for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Ten different players caught a pass in the first half.

NFL scouts in attendance on Saturday will surely be impressed by Ewers, and the Texas passer is projected as a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He'll have to face more formidable opponents than Colorado State this year, but if he keeps playing like this, he might be the first quarterback off the board next April.

With Texas sporting a 31-point lead and a massive showdown against Michigan on deck next week, we likely won't see much more of Ewers today. However, he took advantage of his opportunity and started his season in remarkable fashion.
