It's always a fun time in College Station when the ESPN College GameDay crew shows up for a Texas A&M Aggies matchup.

This time, the eyes of the sport will be on the state of Texas with top-ten ranked Notre Dame coming to town to take on the Aggies in the very first game of the Mike Elko era.

Despite being ranked lower than the Irish, the Aggies are actually favored by about a field goal according to Vegas, and have seemed to be a popular pick from many pundits around the sport as of late in week one. This continued when the GameDay crew did their iconic picks segment and most of the crew, including guest picker Johnny Manziel, went with A&M. But there was one holdout, and it came when the legendary Lee Corso came out dressed in a leprechaun outfit and picked the Irish to come out and grab the road win:

Manziel, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, and Pat McAfee all went with the Aggies in a game that is going to go a long way towards determining the ceiling of the 2024 season for both teams.

Notre Dame enters the game ranked at No. 7 in the AP Poll while the Aggies come in at No. 20. It's a reunion matchup for Elko as his former quarterback at Duke, Riley Leonard, transferred over to Notre Dame after Elko took the job at Texas A&M.

It all gets started at 6:30 p.m. CST (7:30 p.m. EST) from Kyle Field on ABC Network.
