Washington Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin is entering his sixth year in the league and has recorded four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons despite a carousel at quarterback.

CBS Sports named the top 10 players who are in the perfect situation to thrive this season, including McLaurin.

“Terry McLaurin is an underrated wide receiver,’ writes CBS Sports. “He is one of six players with 900 or more receiving yards in each of his five seasons, joining Mike Evans, A.J. Green, Randy Moss, and Jerry Rice.

“The crazy part about that stat is the best quarterback McLaurin has played with is probably Alex Smith.”

Certainly, all that has changed with the No. 2 overall pick out of LSU, quarterback Jayden Daniels. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner was explosive in college last year and has shown flashes of brilliance in the preseason.

“Pairing an explosive quarterback in Daniels with a playmaker like McLaurin could lead to the best years of the 28-year-old’s career,” CBS Sports concluded.

The Daniels to McLaurin connection will be fun to watch this year. They need each other to be successful, and based on the many reports out of training camp this summer, the two are focused on total team success.

That only creates good things for Daniels, McLaurin, and the Commanders franchise.
