The Texas Longhorns demolished the Colorado State Rams in Week 1, capping off the first game of the season with a 52-0 victory.

Given the dominance by Texas, starting quarterback Quinn Ewers was sidelined in the third quarter after Steve Sarkisian and the coaching staff decided to rest the veteran signal-caller.

That meant one thing for college football fans. They would have the chance to see one of the most hyped young stars in the nation, quarterback Arch Manning.

The nephew of NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning came into his second year at the collegiate level as a backup for the Longhorns.

He played in a quarter and a half for Texas in their win over Colorado State, finishing the game with one touchdown on 95 yards. Manning went 5-6 on the day with an 83.3 completion percentage.

Following his performance, college football fans shared a consensus opinion on the talented quarterback, sharing a message that dubbed Manning as the future.

"Arch manning has a bright future." said one fan.

"Arch manning has a bright future." said another fan.

"Arch Manning is better than your favorite Quarterback." commented one fan.

    "Legend already," said another fan.

"Future Heisman winner," commented another fan.

"It’s in the blood," mentioned another fan.

Manning committed to the Longhorns in 2023 as the No. 1 player in the nation, according to 247Sports.

Coming out of high school he was one of the highest-ranked recruits in the history of college sports. The 19-year-old has yet to start a game for the Longhorns, but the future looks bright in Austin.

Manning is currently playing behind a Heisman contender in Quinn Ewers.

Ewers led Texas to the College Football Playoff last season, finishing the season with 22 touchdowns, 3,479 yards and a 70.7 completion percentage.

Arch Manning will get his chance someday, but it's the Quinn Ewers show as of right now.
