Georgia's Week 1 beatdown of Clemson took center stage in the college football world, and for good reason. The only top-15 matchup of the week, the No. 1 Bulldogs out-gained the No. 14 Tigers 447 to 188 in total yards before it was all said and done in Atlanta.

The game was tight in the first half, with UGA holding a 6-point lead off two field goals within the first 30 minutes.

The second half, though, was an entirely different story.

It seemed Georgia made noticeable adjustments that had Dabo Swinney's squad reeling. Kirby Smart and company ultimately outscored Clemson 28-3 in the second to walk away with a 34-3 win to open the 2024 season.

Among those impressed by Georgia's performance is college football analyst Robert Griffin III, who shared some glowing remarks about star quarterback Carson Beck and the team's knack for controlling the trenches.

"Georgia is just so damn DOMINANT STILL," Griffin wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "Carson Beck is playing high level decision maker football and they just keep winning in the trenches. My GAWD.

The Bulldogs finished with 169 rushing yards (6.3-yard average) with two touchdowns, while the Tigers were held to a dismal 46 yards on 23 attempts (2.0 avg.).

Beck was especially potent in the second half after hesitating to throw the ball downfield in the first. The senior finished 23-of-33 for 278 yards and two touchdowns on the day.

Georgia will return to action next Saturday at home against Tennessee Tech. Clemson will play Appalachian State at home in an effort to get on track with a long season ahead.
