Jordan Chiles' Mom Makes Emotional Admission About Daughter

U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles made her first high-profile public appearance on Friday amid her bronze medal controversy from the 2024 Paris Olympics. The 23-year-old attended Friday's ballgame between the Houston Astros and the Kansas City Royals.

Chiles, along with Simone Biles and a few other Houston-area Olympians, were recognized by the Astros on Friday. It was Biles who threw out the honorary first pitch, but Chiles also grabbed the attention of the fans and the media after coming out of her hiatus .

Chiles recently returned from a social media break, which was prompted by the fact that she was stripped of a bronze medal from the floor exercise final of the Paris Games. Because of a technicality (her score challenge was four seconds outside the allotted appeal period), 0.100 points were deducted from her final tally. This led to Chiles falling from third to fifth, thereby forcing her to forfeit the bronze medal.

Gina Chiles, the mother of Jordan, stood by her daughter throughout this whole ordeal. This means that she was also a first-hand witness to the hardships her daughter had to endure over the past few weeks.

This is exactly why Gina could not help but get sentimental after seeing her daughter take center stage during the Astros game. Gina took to Instagram to share her feelings to the world.

"Today I got emotional 😭" Gina wrote. "Jordan and other Olympians were honored at the Astros game...but when she was announced...

"The crowd cheered so loudly. An ovation. Wasn't expecting that. Thank you H-Town and @astros.

"That was beautiful."

Gina was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the fans in Houston, which has been Jordan's hometown since she moved there in 2019. The fans are well aware of what this young lady has achieved in her gymnastics career as well as the nightmare she has been forced to undergo of late, and they made sure to give Jordan as warm an ovation as they could.

After all she's been through over the past month or so, you have to say that Jordan Chiles deserves nothing less. The same can be said for Gina and the rest of their family.
