Cameras Catch Texas A&M QB Conner Weigman’s Worrying Moment Against Notre Dame

Texas A&M-Notre Dame provided as much entertainment as the pre-game hype anticipated during Saturday night's season opener.

A hard fought defensive battle throughout the game, the Aggies and Fighting Irish were deadlocked at 13 with nine minutes remaining in the third quarter. Kyle Field was rocking, and the tension was palpable.

That's when Texas A&M quarterback Conner Wiegman was overwhelmed in an unfortunate way.

It's not hard to understand the situation. Weigman and the Aggies' offense have had plenty to deal with from a stout Notre Dame defense. The sophomore has been under constant pressure and has been erratic at times with ball, throwing two interceptions and completing just 12-of-26 passes for 100 yards (3.8 average) headed into the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

Even with Weigman's struggles, he's in a position to help secure a huge win for A&M. But opposing quarterback Riley Leonard is in a similar position with just as much pressure. Someone has to break.
