The Justin Jefferson, Anthony Edwards photo everyone has been waiting for could be coming soon

Minnesota fans could be finally getting what they want.

No, it's not a championship. But it's an iconic photo involving Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards.

According to X user Alex Conover , Jefferson and Edwards had a photo shoot "recently" in which they recreated an iconic photo that originally featured Randy Moss and Kevin Garnett.

The original photo was taken for the cover of Sport Magazine which featured Moss wearing Garnett's jersey and Garnett wearing Moss's jersey. The photo is wildly popular with Minnesota sports fans as as both players took over the Minnesota sports landscape in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Garnett led the Timberwolves to their first playoff appearance in the 1996-97 season and began a string of eight straight playoff appearances culminating in the NBA Most Valuable Player Award and a run to the Western Conference Finals during the 2003-04 season.

Meanwhile, Moss became an instant star for the Vikings, hauling in 69 passes for 1,313 yards and 17 touchdowns with the 1998 team and leading them to a pair of NFC Championship Game appearances in his rookie year and 2000 season. He went on to post over 1,000 yards in his first six seasons and caught 10 or more touchdown passes in six of his seven seasons in Minnesota before he was traded to the Oakland Raiders in 2005.

Both players' resumes were worthy of an iconic photo, which is why fans want a new version with Jefferson and Edwards.

Both players were drafted in 2020 and immediately became stars for their respective teams. Jefferson has posted over 1,000 yards in each of his first four seasons with the Vikings while Edwards led the Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since Garnett's Wolves did it 20 years ago this past spring.

While the two stars have met up several times over the years, the photo has yet to be re-created. If the rumor is true, the new generation of their fans can have something to stick on their wall while older fans can get a new feeling of nostalgia in the current Minnesota sports landscape.
