During last season’s collapse and throughout the offseason, there was a supposed rift between Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts.

There were certainly awkward responses to the media that spurred those rumors along. Recently, however, Sirianni praised his quarterback for his work ethic and drive to be better.

"Ever since I've been here, Jalen's been all in," Sirianni said. "Every year he's done everything he can do to help this football team win. He's put every bit of his heart and soul into it.

"To say it's more -- I see the same Jalen who's working his butt off to try and win this first game. He's working his butt off to make sure this team is in good position.

“He's making sure he's playing his best ball because we need him to play his best ball for us to have a chance to win week in and week out.”

With the Eagles on the cusp of a make-or-break season for coach Sirianni, it is important to instill harmony and good will into the dressing room to make sure Philadelphia can get back to the Super Bowl for the second time in three years.

"The guy is a winner,” Sirianni finished. “He's been a winner his entire life and he goes about that process every day to win -- better than everybody I've ever been around."
