Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes Reveals Connection with Coach Andy Reid

The Kansas City Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowls, as well as three of the last five.

Most of that can be attributed to the fantastic play of Patrick Mahomes, as well as the coaching of Andy Reid.

In a recent interview with NBC's Chris Simms , the star field general gave a bit of insight into his very strong connection with the man who has been his coach since he came into the league.

"There’s actually times in games where I know what plays on the call before he calls it," said Mahomes. "He starts sending personnel in, and I’m like, got it. I know exactly where we’re going and why we’re doing it...

"That just comes with a lot of reps, a lot of time with Coach Reid, and a lot of the same guys in our football team."

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are considered by many to be the best quarterback-head coach duo in NFL history, but Mahomes and Reid are quickly approaching them.

The duo has made it to the playoffs every single year since Mahomes became the team's starter in 2018. If the team can continue their dynasty and win more Super Bowls, they could be primed to pass Brady and Belichick as the best quarter-coach duo ever.
