Angel Reese's Unexpected Admission About Latest WNBA All-Time Feat

Perhaps the only silver lining of the Chicago Sky's deflating 79-74 loss to the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday, September 1, is the fact that Angel Reese turned in another noteworthy performance.
Reese, who is considered the biggest threat to Caitlin Clark's Rookie of the Year claim, dropped another double-double -- her 24th of the season -- with 17 points and 19 rebounds. It was another commendable effort from the 22-year-old, which, unfortunately, came during another loss.
After the game, Reese was asked to share her thoughts on the fact that she had set another all-time WNBA record. This time around, the Sky star became the single-season rebounding leader in the history of the league after surpassing two-time WNBA champ Sylvia Fowles, who grabbed 404 boards in 2018. Reese now has 418 rebounds to her name this season.
As it turns out, however, Reese did not even know about this record. When this was brought up after the loss, the 6-foot-3 rebounding machine had an unexpected response.
"Tell me what I did, so I know," Reese said, via ESPN . "Because I'm not on social media. My manager has my social media, so I'm not familiar with what's going on."
It's a bit surprising that Reese was not aware of this particular record considering how it's a pretty monumental one.
Reese also revealed that she's "not on social media" and that it's her manager who handles the same. Perhaps she was referring to this game in particular in that she hasn't had a chance to check her phone just yet. After all, Angel is pretty active on social media, and most of her tweets seem like they come from her directly .
Whatever the case might be, you can be sure that Reese is going to be breaking a few more records along the way. For her sake and that of her team, let's just hope they come during more successful circumstances.
