Dallas Wings Coach Had 'Unreal' Assessment of Caitlin Clark's Performance

The Dallas Wings pretty much had no answer for Caitlin Clark on Sunday, September 1, as the rookie sensation led the Indiana Fever to a hard-fought 100-93 road victory . Clark put on a show, logging 28 points, four rebounds, 12 assists, a steal and five triples in 37 minutes of action.

After watching Clark takeover in Dallas, it would probably be safe to say that the 22-year-old had her way with the Wings.

Dallas head coach Latricia Trammell did not argue this notion during her post-game press conference. After the loss, the second-year shot-caller provided a brutally honest assessment of Clark's incredible performance.

"First thing when I walked into the locker room, I said, 'Caitlin is good,'" Trammell told reporters. "We all know that. She hit two back-to-back threes, just unreal there in the fourth quarter."

Trammell stated the obvious when discussing Clark's elite ability, which she showcased in what turned out to be an amazing comeback win for the Fever. Clark led the charge for Indiana as they outscored the Wings 30-19 in the final frame.

As the Dallas coach indicated in her statement, the most memorable part of Indiana's fourth-quarter run had to be Clark's back-to-back triples to give the Fever the lead.

It was far from a one-woman show on Sunday, though, with Kelsey Mitchell also going off for Indiana. The All-Star guard erupted for a game-high 36 points with five triples to lead the Fever to their fourth straight win.

On the opposite side of the floor, the Wings saw a 34-point explosion from Arike Ogunbowale, who went 9-of-16 from deep. It just wasn't enough, though, with Dallas having no answer for the Clark-Mitchell combination .

The Fever get a few days off before they return to action on Wednesday, September 4. They host the 7-25 Los Angeles Sparks at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with Caitlin Clark and Co. the firm favorite to secure another win.
