Scottie Scheffler Trending Online After Hilarious Explanation of Championship Shank

PGA star Scottie Scheffler left the golf course on Sunday afternoon $25 million richer than he was earlier in the morning thanks to his win in the Tour Championship at East Lake.

Earlier that day, he also shanked a bunker shot so badly that high-handicap players thought it looked bad.

While the single shot didn't end up mattering for Scheffler, who won by four shots over Colin Morikawa after shooting a final-round 67, it did leave reporters talking to him about what happened after the fact.

In classic Scheffler fashion, he was as candid and hilarious as possible, going into painful detail about what went wrong when asked "how" he could shank a shot like that.

Sometimes when you give an athlete or a coach an opportunity for an easy answer, they're going to take it and run with it. For many, this answer from Scheffler reminded them of Taurean Prince back when he was at Baylor, going into detail about how the Bears were out-rebounded in one game.
