Following a rough Week 0 performance against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the Florida State Seminoles are on the verge of falling to 0-2 on the season.

Mike Norvell and the Seminoles came into the 2024-25 college football season as the No. 10 team in the country.

They had high hopes in Norvell's fifth year with the program, but a 24-21 loss to the Yellow Jackets in Week 0 and a 14-6 halftime deficit to the Boston College Eagles in Week 1 has fans calling for Norvell's dismissal from the program.

Many believe Florida State might fire Norvell before the season ends, with some thinking he shouldn't even be allowed to finish the game against BC.

"They gone fire Mike Norvell," said one fan with laughing emojis.

"I would fire Mike Norvell at halftime," said another fan. "This is some of the worst football the world has ever seen."

"If Florida state loses tonight they might fire Mike Norvell lol," commented another fan.

"Jordan travis made mike norvell and jared verse made Adam fuller," said one fan. "Fire them both."

"Maybe Venables can bring Mike Norvell to OU as an analyst after FSU fires him," mentioned one fan.

"FSU PLEASE FIRE MIKE NORVELL & BENCH DJ U," said another fan.

Mike Norvell has been with the Seminoles since 2020. He began his career in Tallahassee during college football's COVID season.

In Norvell's first season with FSU, he earned a 3-6 record. The former Memphis Tigers coach has improved every season with the Seminoles. They notched a 5-7 season in 2021, a 10-3 season in 2022, and a 13-1 in 2023.

The Seminoles were in a position to make the College Football Playoff in 2023 after winning the ACC championship and ending the regular season with an undefeated record.

They capped off the 2023 season with a loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in the Orange Bowl. Florida State then went into this matchup against BC, having lost their last two games: a bowl game loss in 2023 and a Week 0 loss in 2024.

Florida State's road in the ACC doesn't get any easier. They have a couple of ranked opponents ahead.

The Seminoles have a heavy October schedule, having to face the No. 14 Clemson Tigers, No. 19 Miami Hurricanes and an underrated Duke Blue Devils roster in the same month.

After their loaded schedule in October, they'll have a few more challenges, going head-to-head against the No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and finishing the season against an SEC opponent in the Florida Gators.
