The New York Giants are projected to have one of the weakest secondaries in the NFL this season. That isn't for a lack of trying to improve, though.

With the recent signing of Adoree' Jackson and the draft selection of Tyler Nubin in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Giants are trying to show that they can be better in the back end of their unit heading into the new season.

Their messaging certainly helps the more Nubin is on the field.

A safety out of Minnesota, Nubin has impressed his Giants teammates with his overall mindset and his work ethic to improve every day.

“Rookies come in, and especially the big city, big market, they’re kind of wide-eyed, and it’s a lot. You can kind of feel their anxiety, where it’s like a lot of people are pulling them, a lot of people saying do this or do that. He’s really headstrong,” safety Jason Pinnock told Dan Duggan . “That goes a long way because it takes certain wrinkles out that rookies have to go through. I’m excited as hell.”

Pinnock and Nubin are expected to be the main starters for the Giants this season at safety. How they operate together could very well be the difference between New York's defense playing at an elite level or a mediocre one.

At the very least, it appears their relationship is good to go heading into Year 1 for Nubin.
