These 4 Sleepers Could Win Your Fantasy Football League

We're just a couple of days away from the start of the 2024 NFL regular season, but there's still plenty of time for some leagues to sneak in their last-minute fantasy football drafts before the real thing gets underway.

If you're in that boat, you're likely cramming as much research as you possibly can into the next 36 hours, including which late-round sleepers to target in your draft.

Here's a name at each offensive position to keep on your radar if you're looking for value that could end up delivering a title for you at the end of the year:

    QB Jayden Daniels, Commanders

If you're willing to wait on a quarterback, Daniels should be your late-round target who could still give you tons of upside as your starter. It's always risky to pin your fantasy title hopes on a rookie, but Daniels brings an impressive blend of talent and experience to the table.

He's got an established No. 1 target in Terry McLaurin, and a game script that favors plenty of garbage-time situations that are great for racking up fantasy points. Throw in his elite upside as a runner, and you've got the recipe for a high-scoring quarterback who could far outplay his ADP.

    RB Rico Dowdle, Cowboys

Don't be fooled by the return of Ezekiel Elliott or the arrival of Dalvin Cook, because it's Dowdle who should be the lead runner in the Dallas backfield this year. Sure, it might be a committee approach to a certain extent, but it's Dowdle who's expected to get the lion's share of the snaps after the Cowboys failed to invest premium resources into the position this offseason.

What Dallas did invest in was their offensive line, making multiple improvements to a unit that should give Dowdle more room to run this season. Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb should have opposing defenses focused on stopping the pass first, which should lead to some light boxes for Dowdle to run through.

    WR Courtland Sutton, Broncos

It's hard to find a true No. 1 receiver in the later rounds of a fantasy draft, but that's what's happening with Sutton, who is currently the 46th receiver off the board per ADP data from Fantasy Pros. That's impressive value for a well-rounded and experienced player who should get a ton of targets in Sean Payton's offense.

Sutton is big, athletic and physical, and though he'll be working with a rookie quarterback in Bo Nix, the Broncos' first-round pick and new franchise passer is accurate and efficient, two things Sutton hasn't had at the position in a while. When you pair his talent with the volume he should get, Sutton should be a fantastic value pick in most drafts.

    TE Pat Freiermuth, Steelers

Now that the Brandon Aiyuk speculation has been scrapped, the Steelers are left with George Pickens and not much else in terms of proven depth among their pass-catching group. That's good news for anyone who drafts Freiermuth, as he should be second in line for targets while Pittsburgh searches for their WR2.

Freiermuth is a solid all-around tight end who can block well enough to stay on the field in every formation and down/distance situation, which bodes well for his usage. Unless someone emerges from the pack in the WR2 battle, don't be surprised if Freiermuth is the beneficiary of that vacuum, no matter who ends up throwing the passes.
