Travis Kelce’s Latest Career Move Draws Mixed Reaction from Fans

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is drawing reactions of all kinds after his foray into Hollywood.

Few NFL players have experienced the skyrocket in personal celebrity off the field which Travis Kelce has over the last year, and it's only growing.

He's dating Taylor Swift, arguably the biggest female celebrity in the world; he inked a massive $100 million podcast deal paying him far more than any contract he's signed as a player; and he's only increased his profile on the field with two more Super Bowl rings in 2023 and 2024.

Now, the younger Kelce brother is trying out his acting chops on a new project called "GROTESQUERIE." Some fans were excited to watch it while others are tired of seeing the KC tight end everywhere.

Kelce also showed up in the show's trailer, which you can find here . He introduces the trailer in the very beginning and then has just one line as part of it.

“There is no future after this,” Kelce's character says while sitting on a couch, which is the scene included in the photograph of the post.

For those curious, IMDB briefly described the show on its website .

"A detective and a nun investigate a series of heinous crimes that seem personal, while grappling with personal issues and uncovering a sinister web that raises more questions than answers," says IMDB.

However, in response to the above post, fans were very mixed on whether they were happy to see Kelce on the big screen.

"Wow, I can't believe Travis is diving into acting!" commented one X user, Vinothkanna. "Can't wait to see how he brings his charm to the screen in ‘GROTESQUERIE.’"

Most replies weren't so friendly, though.

"He suffers from face I don’t want to watch," said a user named Will Cates.

"Undebut it," added another user.

Yet another user merely commented, "cringe."

NFL fans have been inundated with Kelce Brothers content over the last year or more, especially from Travis, given his spotlight as a top player on a back-to-back champion plus his relationship with a worldwide musical icon. For some, it's a bit too much coverage.
