Browns Announce Hiring of Jim Donovan Replacement

The Cleveland Browns have hired a new radio voice for the team. Following the retirement of longtime broadcaster Jim Donovan as the voice of the team, the Browns began the search to replace the legendary broadcaster.

Tuesday, Cleveland announced they had hired lifelong Browns fan, and former NFL Network host, Andrew Siciliano as the new radio play-by-play voice of the team. Siciliano filled in last season for Donovan when he underwent treatment for leukemia.

He has officially taken the big chair for his favorite team, and Siciliano is grateful for the opportunity.

“I’m honored for the opportunity, but wish the circumstances were different,” Siciliano said. “Like every Browns fan, I was stunned last week when I learned of Jim’s retirement. I know I have big shoes to fill. Jim’s an icon, an amazing man, and an indelible part of this community.

“I’m so grateful to Jim for his gracious support last season when I did a few games and will never forget sitting in the stands and listening to his call when the Browns clinched the playoffs in Week 17.”

Siciliano will be on the radio call on Sunday when the Browns host the Dallas Cowboys in the FOX NFL Game of the Week. Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady will be making his broadcasting debut in this game as well.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
