Jason Kelce Asks the Andy Reid Question That Everyone is Thinking

After Xavier Worthy’s second touchdown of the game that put the Kansas City Chiefs up 27-17 over the Baltimore Ravens, the admin for the “New Heights” podcast’s X account decided to troll the rest of the NFL.

The show tweeted out a clip from a previous episode that was directly applicable to Thursday’s season opener of Jason Kelce asking a question the rest of the league would like to know the answer to.

“For the life of me, I don’t know why other teams keep allowing Andy Reid to keep drafting the fastest human beings,” Kelce said. “He did it with DeSean Jackson, did it with Tyreek Hill, and now he’s done it with Xavier Worthy.”

Worthy, who ran an NFL record 4.21 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, made one heck of an impression in his NFL debut.

He scored the Chiefs’ first touchdown of the season on a 21-yard run with a speed of 17.49 miles per hour at the line of scrimmage and reaching a top speed of 18.45 mph when he reached the end zone, per NextGen Stats.

Worthy then showed off his game-breaking speed again, scoring in the fourth quarter to extend KC’s lead to 10 with a 35-yard touchdown catch.

Worthy became the second player since the merger with a touchdown catch and touchdown run of 20-plus yards in his first NFL game, per Josh Dubow of the Associated Press.
