The Baltimore Ravens find themselves with a 0-1 record after a nail-biting 2024 NFL season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson did everything he could to tie the game up in the final minutes. Still, the Ravens fell a toe short of sending the game into overtime as tight end Isaiah Likely landed just out of bounds on a potential touchdown catch as time expired. The Chiefs walked out of Arrowhead Stadium with a 27-20 win.

After the game, Jackson spoke to the media about the final play and declared that it was a touchdown not once but three times.

“I thought it was a touchdown," Jackson said. "I thought it was a touchdown. I still think it was a touchdown.”

Jackson finished the game completing 26 of his 41 passing attempts for 273 yards and a touchdown. He also added 122 yards on the ground. Likely had a great season opener, bringing in nine catches for 111 yards, a touchdown and a near game-saving play.

Chiefs rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy stole the spotlight in his NFL debut, finding the endzone twice, once on the ground and once through the air.

Jackson and the Ravens will head back to Baltimore for their home opener in Week 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs will stay in Kansas City as the Cincinnati Bengals come to town.
