Lamar Jackson Strongly Shuts Down Claim About Ravens' 'Kryptonite'

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens waited a long time to get the chance at revenge against the Kansas City Chiefs. On Thursday, they failed on that mission, as they faltered anew at the hands of Patrick Mahomes and company, losing a close one at Arrowhead Stadium via a score of 27-20.

That means the Ravens have now lost two games in a row to the Chiefs, dating back to the last playoffs. During last January's AFC championship game, the Ravens were eliminated from Super Bowl contention by the Chiefs after absorbing a 17-10 loss.

Over the last six meetings between the Ravens and the Chiefs since 2018, Kansas City has come out on top five times.

Is that enough dominance for the Chiefs to be called Baltimore’s ‘kryptonite?’

Not so fast, according to Jackson.

"They're not our kryptonite," the two-time league Most Valuable Player said about the Chiefs following the heartbreaking loss to the reigning Super Bowl champions, per Sarah Ellison of ‘The Vault .’

That being said, it can’t be denied that the Chiefs got the better of Baltimore again despite a big performance from Jackson.

The former Louisville Cardinals star went 26-of-41 for 273 passing yards and a touchdown and also rushed 16 times for 122 yards.

Baltimore will be back on the field on September 15 for a home game versus the Las Vegas Raiders.
