Ravens Star Sends Warning to Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs After Opening Loss

The Baltimore Ravens came up just inches short against the Kansas City Chiefs in their opener, but tight end Isaiah Likely is already looking forward to a rematch.

The Chiefs survived 27-20 after a last-second touchdown pass from Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson to Likely was ruled out of bounds.

But despite the loss, the Ravens did many good things in their opener. Baltimore outgained the defending Super Bowl champs 452-353, racking up 185 rushing yards. Likely was also a bright spot, notching nine catches for a game-high 111 yards and a score.

Likely is confident that they'll come out on top if they see the Chiefs down the road in the postseason.

“This is probably the worst game we gonna play all year," Likely said in his postgame press conference. "So if this their best that they got, I mean, good luck in the postseason”

If Likely's touchdown grab had come down inbounds, Ravens coach John Harbaugh would have been ready to go for two and the win. He was spotted holding up two fingers before the score was eventually overturned.

“I thought our guys (overcame) setbacks at times, and fought like crazy to overcome. It looked like we had an opportunity there to tie the game up and try to win,” Harbaugh said. “Didn’t happen at the end, but our guys fought.”

The Ravens will look to get in the win column next week at home against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs will host the Cincinnati Bengals with a chance to move to 2-0.
