As the Cleveland Browns prepare to host the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday, all eyes will be on wide receiver Amari Cooper , who is set to face his former team for the first time since his trade to Cleveland in 2022.

Despite his history with the Cowboys, Cooper made it clear that he approaches the game with a business-like mindset, looking forward to the challenge rather than dwelling on the past.

Reflecting on the upcoming game , Cooper shared that the matchup might have been more emotional if it had happened sooner.

"It’s been a couple of years now,” Cooper told reporters after practice, emphasizing his focus on the present and his readiness to compete against the team where he spent three and a half seasons.

The game, set to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET, will be broadcast to a national audience, adding a primetime feel to the contest. NFL fans are eagerly awaiting not only the matchup but also Tom Brady’s debut in the broadcast booth, further enhancing the significance of this encounter.

For Cooper, the high-profile nature of the game is nothing new, but it’s the type of atmosphere that he relishes.

“When you grow up as a kid watching football, these are the games that you tend to watch, the games that are primetime, the games that get the most attention,” Cooper said .

A key storyline will be Cooper's one-on-one battles against Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, a fellow Alabama Crimson Tide alum. Cooper expressed his excitement about the challenge, highlighting his eagerness to test his skills against one of the league’s top young defenders.

The Browns will look to leverage Cooper’s experience and big-game mentality to secure a critical win as they aim to build momentum early in the season . With a national audience tuned in, Cooper's performance against his former team will be one of the most closely watched elements of the game.
