Myles Responds to Cowboys' Micah Parsons

In just a few days the Cleveland Browns will host the Dallas Cowboys in their regular-season opener. While there are plenty of storylines to keep up with leading up to the game, one of the most intriguing ones is the matchup of defensive superstars that the game will have in Cleveland's Myles Garrett and Dallas' Micah Parsons.

While the both players have been some of the best defensive players in the NFL for a few years, this will be their first time facing each other. While Parsons, entering his fourth season, is obviously looking to bring a championship to Dallas, he's also looking to accomplish something he hasn't yet in his career, win the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award.

In a recent interview, Garrett, who won the award last season, commented on Parsons stating he wanted to win the award in 2024.

"He's a great athlete, and a great advocate for this game," said Garrett. "I wouldn't want him to say anything else. That lets me know that he's going to give 100 percent, so let's duke it out, let's see what happens. It's not me playing against Micah, it's our teams playing each other. At the end of the day, I hope that he does well, just not on Sunday."

Both players enter the game with a combined eight All-Pro nods and eight Pro Bowls, so there will be plenty of star power on both defenses in the matchup.
