The Philadelphia Eagles did not have an ideal start to their Week 1 game against the Green Bay Packers on Friday evening. Philly already committed two turnovers in just the opening quarter of the contest, both involving quarterback Jalen Hurts.

The dual-threat QB was intercepted by Packers defensive back Xavier McKinney during Philadelphia's first drive of the game. In the Eagles' next possession, center Cam Jurgens snapped the ball too early, resulting in a fumble recovery by Packers defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt.

Cameras caught Hurts looking at Jurgens in the eyes on the sidelines following the Eagles' second turnover.

    “Jason Kelce watching this rn,”

    “Jalen Shell of himself Hurts”

“He’s trying to teach him how to do the tush push”

“Probably not the way Jalen was expecting this game to go so far”

    “Wasn’t even his fault😭”

“They need to keep it together and focus on the game”

With Jason Kelce retiring at the end of the 2023 NFL season, Jurgens is getting the spotlight at the center position, and this Eagles turnover simply doesn’t reflect well on him. Nevertheless, there is plenty of opportunities for Hurts and the Eagles’ offense to get it together against the Packers.

The Eagles were tied for eighth during the 2023 NFL season with 28 turnovers.
