The Green Bay Packers don't know the extent of quarterback Jordan Love's injury yet, but some already have a suggestion for a replacement if he should miss time.

Love was hurt late in the fourth quarter of his team's 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, his leg twisting awkwardly as he was brought down the turf. Love was in visible pain after the injury and was helped to the sidelines, where he was evaluated by the team's medical staff.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur was asked about Love's status after the game, but had no more details to offer.

    "I don't know," LaFleur said.

If Love should be forced to miss extended time with the injury, some suggested that the team sign veteran free agent Ryan Tannehill rather than going with backup Malik Willis.

"If Jordan Love is out for an extended period, the #Packers should give Ryan Tannehill a buzz. They're dead in the water with Malik Willis," noted one fan in a post on X .

"Ryan Tannehill should be in Green Bay by the time the Packers plane lands at Austin Straubel," wrote Packers reporter Peter Bukowski on X .

Tannehill is a free agent after his four-year, $118 million contract with the Tennessee Titans expired. Though he has expressed a desire to play this season, Tannehill remained a free agent through the offseason.
