The historic game in Brazil went to the Philadelphia Eagles after they beat the Green Bay Packers, 34-29, on Sept. 6 at the Neo Quimica Arena in Sao Paulo.

New acquisition Saquon Barkley had a dazzling debut for the Eagles with three touchdowns, delighting the fans in the NFL's first-ever game in South America.

Wide receiver A.J. Brown was also a big factor in the win, catching five passes for 119 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown.

Brown, along with other players including teammate Darius Slay, voiced some concerns prior to the trip to Brazil, particularly regarding the country's high criminal rate. But after their experience, the 27-year-old Brown had a more positive opinion, although he had an honest observation about the fans.

“I don't know if Sao Paulo knows when to cheer, but it was great,” Brown said, via the Associated Press . “It was loud the entire time.

"They kind of got a bad rap. We got a whole bunch of 'Don't do's,' but it's been great ever since we got here.”

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni echoed Brown's comments, touting the atmosphere in the venue.

“Did Brazil get a great game tonight or what?” Sirianni said. “I know we converted some people to be big-time football fans tonight.”

According to another report from AP , around "20% of the expected crowd of 42,000 was from the United States."

The Eagles will gun for back-to-back wins to start the season when they host the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 16.
