New Jordan Love Injury Details Prompt Extra Concern from NFL Fans

Jordan Love had an unfortunate moment in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles. A moment that will keep the Green Bay Packers and their fans very concerned after having high hopes to start the season.

With less than one minute remaining in the game with the Packers having the final drive of the game as they trailed 32-27, Love got tackled by Eagles defenders as video replay revealed his left knee popping as he fell onto the turf.

Even though Love managed to get up, it was very apparent that he was not walking normal, having a noticeable limp as walking appeared to be painful for him, especially while putting weight on his left leg.

NFL reporter Dianna Russini posted on X (formerly Twitter), revealing a detail that would raise the level of concern for Packers fans and supporters of Jordan Love.

"When the Packers land, Jordan Love will get an MRI. I’m told an ankle injury has been ruled out at this point. Right now, it’s just wait-and-see for more information on the injury," Russini said.

The fact that an ankle injury, a minor injury compared to the worst-case scenario of a torn ACL, is ruled out, brings plenty of fear for those wishing the best for Love as he manages through the situation.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport recently provided an update, giving many signs that the extent of how injured Love's knee is will be revealed very soon.

As for Green Bay, they will look to backup quarterback Malik Willis as they begin reparation for their home opener against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. ET.
