Lamar Jackson Issues Strong Three-Word Message After Ravens' Loss to Chiefs

Thursday's game between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs was record-setting, but the Ravens suffered a 27-20 loss, marking another defeat for star quarterback Lamar Jackson against Patrick Mahomes.

NBA legend Paul Pierce recently commented that the Chiefs are the Ravens' "daddy." However, when questioned about the lopsided nature of their matchups, Jackson sharply dismissed the notion.

Undoubtedly, it was a vexing game for the Ravens, who entered the season as the top seed with high expectations but suffered a lackluster loss to Kansas City in the AFC Championship game.

A similar sentiment prevailed in the Week 1 opener; when a reporter inquired post-game whether the Chiefs are the Ravens' kryptonite, Jackson quickly denied it, as reported by ESPN.

“Ain't my kryptonite,” Jackson snapped back.

“What's that?” the reporter asked.

“Not my kryptonite,” Jackson said.

Jackson's confidence is commendable, with 273 passing yards, a touchdown, and 122 rushing yards, but the fact that Baltimore has lost five of their last six encounters is undeniable. Nonetheless, Thursday night's game was atypical, marked by numerous mistakes, botched plays, and squandered chances.

“I believe everyone in our locker room hates losing, point-blank period — coaches, trainers, equipment guys, cafeteria women and men and definitely the players — because we're out there putting it on the line, blood, sweat and tears,” Jackson said. “And for us to lose to those guys, and the way we lost, even though I don't want to lose, but I can't be mad at my guys because we battled.”

The Baltimore Ravens will play against the Las Vegas Raiders next Sunday on Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. ET.
