Sabrina Ionescu's Photo at US Open with NBA Star Captures Attention

New York Liberty superstar Sabrina Ionescu took a break from the court to attend the US Open in New York on Friday night with her husband, Hronnis Grassu. The couple captured attention when they posed for a photo with former NBA champion.

The Liberty, currently the top team in the WNBA with a 28-6 record, have won eight of their last ten games, with Ionescu playing a key role in their success this season.

Ionescu and her husband were there to watch the semifinal match between Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe , when they were seen taking a photo with Dallas Mavericks star, Klay Thompson .

On the season, Ionescu is averaging 19.4 points, 6.0 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game. Alongside Breanna Stewart , the Liberty are the favorites to challenge the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces .

Thompson, meanwhile, is entering his 14th NBA season and his first with the Dallas Mavericks after spending the bulk of his illustrious career with the Golden State Warriors .

Both Ionescu and Thompson are among the best shooters in the world, and their photo together at one of the biggest sporting events of the year sparked some serious buzz.
