CeeDee Lamb on 'Dak-Yard': 'Good To Have A Rich QB!'

    By Adam Schultz,

All offseason, the headlines were dominated by CeeDee Lamb's holdout from Dallas Cowboys offseason workouts as he sought a new deal.

With Lamb absent from OTAs, minicamp, and training camp, many expected his chemistry with Dak Prescott to suffer —but it didn't.

The pair often got together for workouts in the offseason to keep their chemistry sharp, and Lamb revealed that it helps when your quarterback has the financial resources to have a full NFL field in his backyard. ... "The Dak-Yard.''

“Often I would say quite often," Lamb said on how many times he worked out with Dak. "Anytime that I'm back in town obviously and he's obviously back here, I hit him [up], and then it's very it's very good having a rich quarterback."

With the Cowboys finally getting Lamb's deal done after training camp had concluded, once CeeDee was back inside The Star, it was all about getting No. 88 ramped up in preparation for the season.

Not wanting to risk any soft tissue injuries to their star receiver, the Cowboys took a cautious approach with Lamb, but once CeeDee hit the field, he and Prescott picked up where they left off.

But what made the duo able to hit the ground running after Lamb was absent for weeks?

“Obviously, me not going to be in camp, and I didn't know it was going to be that long, to be honest, but we got a lot of banked reps,” Lamb said. “We've been working plenty different routes, situations, seeing different coverages, different stems, the list go on. But yeah me and Dak, we've always been on the same page since I got here since we've been playing together and I don't think it's going to be any [different this year].”

As the Cowboys prepare for the Cleveland Browns in Week 1, much is expected of both Prescott and Lamb to lead Dallas to a win on the road in a tough environment.

And for them to do that, they will lean on the foundation of banked reps to hit the Browns' defense between the eyes and walk out of enemy territory with a win.
