Travis Hunter's Heated Sideline Moment with Deion Sanders Is Turning Heads

Tension was running high for the Colorado Buffaloes after falling into a three-touchdown deficit against the Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday night at Memorial Stadium in a prime-time Big Ten-Big 12 showdown.

Nebraska dominated the first quarter as Colorado struggled to get anything going offensively, falling into a 14-0 hole before the first quarter even ended as the Cornhusker defense kept CU star quarterback Shedeur Sanders and receiver Travis Hunter mostly in check.

Hunter, who had seven receptions for 72 yards in the first half (at time of publication), finally reached his boiling point after the Buffaloes missed a field goal in the final three-and-a-half minutes of the second quarter, visibly venting his frustration on the sidelines after head coach Deion Sanders tried to calm him down.

    Hunter’s exasperation was understandable.

Colorado’s first seven drives ended with four punts, a turnover-on-downs, an interception and a missed field goal — a stark contrast from the previous week when the team put up 504 yards of total offense and scored 31 points against North Dakota State.

Aside from Hunter, no one else on the offensive side of the ball was providing much help. Running backs Charlie Offerdahl and Dallan Hayden combined for just seven yards rushing on four carries, and all pass-catchers not named Hunter combined for just five catches and 46 yards.
