Quarterback Shedeur Sanders took an absolute beating on Saturday night as the Colorado Buffaloes fell to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 28-10, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Shedeur Sanders, the son of Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, completed 23-of-38 passes for 244 yards, one touchdown, and also threw one interception.

But after taking six sacks in the blowout loss, Deion Sanders pulled his son in the closing minutes, replacing him with backup quarterback Ryan Staub.

With the game out of reach and Staub under center, Sanders opted to return to the locker room with two minutes remaining, shortly after taking a massive hit by a Nebraska defender.

As Sanders made his exit, surrounded by Colorado personnel, Nebraska fans let their voices be heard, shouting at him as he headed toward the locker room.

A video of Sanders leaving the field picks up one fan yelling “see ya” at the senior quarterback. Amid plenty of 'boos' and even an “F-you” from the crowd, the final remark captured on camera referenced Sanders’ controversial move before last year’s Colorado-Nebraska game.

"Shedeur, what time is it?" a fan shouted to Sanders.

The “What time is it?” remark referred to Sanders’ infamous gesture from last season when he flaunted his expensive watch in the faces of Nebraska players before Colorado’s 36-14 victory over the Cornhuskers.

According to ESPN , it was a custom-made Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15500.

Colorado moves to 1-1 after the loss on Saturday night, while the Cornhuskers advance to 2-0.

Shedeur Sanders was not the only one of Deion Sanders' sons to exit the game early, though. His brother, Shilo Sanders, left the game in the first quarter , and Deioin revealed the injury is believed to be a broken forearm.

Colorado will travel to Fort Collins to take on Colorado State in Week 3. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and will air on CBS.

Last season's edition of the rivalry was a chippy one, with Colorado pulling off the 43-35 double-overtime win over Colorado State. However, it did not come without a cost, as the Buffaloes lost Travis Hunter to a lacerated liver for a chunk of the season.
