After struggling a bit in his Gophers debut, he looked much more like the quarterback that head coach P.J. Fleck and the Gophers have raved about since his arrival over the offseason.
Taylor also looked solid in his debut after missing Week 1 due to injury — although the running game overall still doesn’t look as strong as we’re used to for the Gophers — and seven Gophers had multiple catches and at least 20 yards in the win.
Defense

DT Deven Eastern — 91.5
S Jack Henderson — 81.8

DE Jah Joyner — 69.6
DE Luther McCoy — 69.4
The Gophers didn’t need to lean heavily on their starters with the game well in control early, allowing a lot of younger guys and those farther down the depth chart to see action.
Still, the unit pitched a shutout and played well overall, with 25 players receiving a grade of a least 60.0, an average mark.
It was a dominant showing by the Gophers and one they’ll hope to repeat next weekend against Nevada.
