Angel Reese Getting Roasted After WNBA Stat Exposes Her Weakness

Angel Reese has posted generational numbers in her first season in the WNBA with the Chicago Sky, but the rookie has been under fire lately for a specific weakness in her game.

Fanduel recently posted a graphic of Reese with the message, "Angel Reese is a rebounding MACHINE." While some fans commented on Reese's ability to clean the glass since the edit mentioned the rookie had 43 offensive rebounds in the last seven games, others were worried about the other side of the graphic.

The rookie also has 64 missed shots in the last seven games. This is connected with her offensive rebounding since the first-year star is able to bring in boards off her own misses around the rim.

WNBA fans believe Reese's efficiency has been a major issue, and while she's averaging a double-double with 13.6 points and 12.6 rebounds per game, her stats may be skewed with the amount of missed baskets she's added up.

"She’s great at grabbing her own missed layup," said one fan.

"bc she bricks her open layups," explained one fan.

"Nah this is insane," mentioned one fan.

"They gonna fool around and start take rebounds away after every 3 missed shot," joked one fan.

"bro whoever runs this account is HILARIOUS," said one fan.

"Now just imagine if she could make a layup to begin with," said another fan.

The rookie is currently shooting 39.3% from the field and 20% from three-point range. Despite attempting most of her shots from the painted area, Angel Reese struggles to find a rhythm on the offensive end.

Her rebounding has been able to help boost her scoring average, but a field goal percentage lower than 40% for a forward is a hard pill to swallow for WNBA fans.

Reese has had a successful season in the eyes of most fans and analysts, but her efficiency is clearly her biggest weakness. Nevertheless, the rookie should be able to make the most of her opportunities as she gains reps in the league.

Despite the struggles on the offensive end, she's a candidate for the Rookie of the Year award and has helped the Chicago Sky enter the playoff race.

Chicago currently stands as the No. 8 team in the rankings with an 11-17 record.
