Judge Christina Peterson of Douglas County Probate Court is facing serious charges following an incident at a Buckhead nightclub.

Peterson has been charged with felony willful obstruction of a police officer and simple battery after allegedly punching an officer at Red Martini Restaurant and Lounge, according to 11 Alive.

Atlanta Police were responding to a 911 call regarding a dispute between two individuals at the nightclub when the incident occurred.

Court documents from Fulton County Magistrate Court state that Peterson, who was not initially involved in the altercation, allegedly struck an officer with a closed fist.

The arrest report indicates that Peterson did not identify herself to the police and appeared to be under the influence at the time of the incident.

According to jail records, Peterson has since been released from Fulton County Jail.
