    4th of July events, fireworks around metro Atlanta

    It's time to dress in your best patriotic attire and celebrate Independence Day .

    If you're looking for 4th of July celebrations to hit up, we've got you covered with these events around metro Atlanta.


    Kennesaw: Salute to America on July 3

    • Kennesaw's celebration featuring music and vendors starts at 6pm July 3 in downtown. Fireworks will go off at 9:30pm.

    Ponce City Market: Fourth of July on the Roof

    • Ponce City Market's event, which starts at noon, includes family-friendly events at Skyline Park and an opportunity to enjoy food, drinks and see fireworks shows from around the city. Tickets can be purchased online .

    Sandy Springs: Stars and Stripes, July 4 Fireworks Celebration

    • Sandy Springs' event at City Springs starts at 6pm and includes live music, food trucks and a fireworks show starting at 9:30pm.

    Woodstock: July 4th Spectacular

    • The city of Woodstock's event begins with a parade at 10am, a festival at 11am, and its fireworks show at 9pm.

    Decatur: July 4 Pied Piper Parade, Concert and Fireworks

    • Decatur's festivities start at 6pm with a parade, a concert at 7pm, and fireworks at 9pm on the Square.

    Stone Mountain Park: July 4 Fantastic Fourth Celebration

    • Stone Mountain Park's popular, week-long celebration culminates with a drone and light show and fireworks at 9:30pm July 4.

    Marietta: 4th of July Celebration

    • Marietta's event kicks off with the Let Freedom Ring Parade at 10am, and its 4th in the Park festival starts at the same time on the Square. Fireworks show begins at dark.

    Lawrenceville: July 4 Fourth on the Field

    • Festivities at Coolray Field , home to the Gwinnett Stripers, start at 5pm and include live music, screening of a children's movie, and a fireworks display at 9:15pm.

    Dunwoody: 4th of July Parade

    • The Dunwoody Homeowners Association is hosting what it calls Georgia's "longest Independence Day Parade" at 9am. The parade route can be viewed here .

    Powder Springs: 4th of July Celebration

    Roswell: July 4 Fireworks Extravaganza

    • Roswell's party begins with live music starting at 6pm at Roswell Area Park. Several food trucks will also be available. The fireworks show starts around 9:30pm.

    Alpharetta: July 4 Fireworks Display

    • Head on over to Wills Park for the fireworks display starting around 9:15pm. Concessions will be available purchase at the pool and at the equestrian center until 9pm. Otherwise, you're encourage to bring your own blanket and snacks.

    Milton: Independence Day Walking Parade
