Latto Pulled Over By Police In Newly Surfaced Footage, Claims She Ran Light To Evade Fans

Bodycam footage from police has surfaced a year after Latto was pulled over for running a red light in Atlanta.

Latto Denies Completing Diversion Program Following 2021 Gun Charge

The traffic stop occurred on September 28, 2023 after she left an Atlanta nightclub celebrating her friend’s birthday. A clip from the run-in with the law shows the “Big Mama” rhymer sitting inside of her yellow Lamborghini truck as officers questioned her speed and if she was inebriated.

Latto — née Alyssa Stephens — denied being drunk and could be heard explaining that she was trying to “hurry up and get home” to avoid being followed by fans who recognized her expensive vehicle. Not knowing who she was, cops issued the then 24-year-old a ticket and breathalyzer test — which she passed. She was then allowed to head home.

Latto’s last publicized incident with the law occurred in 2021 when she brought a loaded handgun to LAX airport .

“Went to LAX w a loaded glock 17 in my Birk got locked & let out in a few hours lmaooo booked a $75k jet to my show in Alabama & still made it on time! [exhausted emoji] no cap in my rap TUH,” she tweeted at the time.

The “Big Energy” star was then rumored to have entered a year-long diversion program after her arrest that would dismiss all charges upon completion of requirements. Latto then took to X (formerly Twitter) to deny the report.

“[I don’t know] who put out that false-a** information, ’cause I’m not in no damn program,” she wrote. “Also, the situation happened over a year ago and y’all never even knew until I mentioned it in the ‘Boom, Pt. 2’ verse. Nun to ‘brag’ about. Leave me alone.”

The verse in question goes: “I got locked up in the airport, goddamn forgot the gun.”
