Kirk Cousins Applauded for Training Camp Arrival Outfit

The Atlanta Falcons hope Kirk Cousins will provide a big boost to their offense this season. Based on this apparel for his training camp arrival, Cousins will at least fit right in with the Atlanta sports community.

Cousins was wearing an Atlanta Hawks jersey as he strolled into the Falcons' facility for training camp Wednesday. The Falcons' official X (formerly Twitter) account posted a picture of Cousins donning the jersey.

The NFL media and fans on social media reacted very positively to Cousins' training camp outfit.

"Good work!!!" The AJC's D. Orlando Ledbetter wrote on X in response to Cousins' jersey.

Red Dirt Duke responded with a popular GIF of former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens.

It's possible that the jersey Cousins was wearing was custom-made with the No. 8. That's the number Cousins wore for six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. He also wore No. 8 for four years with the then Washington Redskins.

But fans on X also speculated that Cousins was going old school by wearing a Steve Smith Hawks jersey. Smith wore No. 8 for the Hawks from 1995-99.

Cousins wore No. 12 for the Redskins his first two seasons before switching to No. 8 ahead of the 2014 season.

In Atlanta, though, Cousins will wear No. 18. Tight end Kyle Pitts already has No. 8.
